The Ooredoo 5.5G CPE Pro 6 is a high-performance wireless router that utilizes 5.5G and Wi-Fi 7 technologies. It is manufactured by Huawei and is designed to provide high-speed internet connectivity for homes and businesses.
- 5.5G Technology (5G-Advanced): This is an upgraded version of 5G, also known as 5GA, and is built on the 3GPP Release 18 standard. It acts as a bridge to 6G, offering significant improvements over traditional 5G
- High Speeds: The CPE Pro 6 supports theoretical peak download speeds of up to 11.7 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. This is a substantial increase compared to typical 5G speeds, which are often around 1 Gbps.
- Multi-Carrier Aggregation (3CC): The device can aggregate three component carriers (3CC) in the downlink to achieve higher bandwidth and speeds.
- Antenna Technology: It features a 5G NR high-gain antenna with a peak gain of up to 12 dBi, which improves signal reception and coverage. It also includes 8x8 MIMO for enhanced data transmission.
-
Wi-Fi 7: The router supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 protocol, also known as 802.11be. It offers:
- High Speeds: A combined theoretical Wi-Fi speed of 3600 Mbps.
- Advanced Features: Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO (Multi-Link Operation) and 4K QAM are supported.
- Connectivity and Hardware:
- Interfaces: The device includes one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port and one Gigabit Ethernet port (which can also function as a WAN port), an RJ11 port for voice services, a SIM card slot (4FF), and two external antenna interfaces.
- Device Support: It can connect up to 128 users simultaneously.
- Mesh Networking: It supports EasyMesh R4 and Mesh+ for creating a seamless mesh Wi-Fi network.
- Network Compatibility: It supports both Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) 5G network architectures. It also has backward compatibility with 4G/3G networks.
